Waitakere Chinese Association Notice for Celebrating Moon Festival

Hello everyone! The Moon Festival is a traditional festival in China. In order to make the overseas Chinese friends living in New Zealand feel at home, the Waitakere Chinese Association decided to hold performances to celebrate the Moon Festival. Due to the impact of the COVID 19, the celebration was postponed for a time. Now the COVID 19 alert in Auckland has been lowered to the level one. 新西兰自2020年3月25日起已经进入疫情防控的四级警戒。 新奥华人协会号召所有会员一定要严格遵守政府颁布的有关法规，团结一心，共同应对当前的困难局面，协会的会员群将积极发挥其联系与组织会员的职能，及时报道有关疫情及政府发布的最新信息，同时，也希望大家能自觉按照有关规定照顾好自己和家人。我们希望大家都能守望相助，成为一个团结的集体，在遇到特别困难或紧急情况时，可以通过在群里发出SOS进行求助，协会将在遵守法规的前提下，积极组织和配合政府有关机构为大家提供及时的帮助。

Three of our members Ms Xiuqing Wei, Ms Ni Zhen and Mr Xinguo Zhu have made serious misconduct and breached membership code of Waitakere Chinese Association. In order to protect the reputation of the association, the Executive Committee of the association has made decision to terminate Ms Xiuqing Wei, Ms Ni Zhen and Mr Xinguo Zhu’s membership, the decision is in effect immediately. From now on, all the actions of the three persons have nothing to do with the Association.
